afternoon tea

my favourite flea market cup for 25 cents, captured through the viewfinder of my polaroid camera. well-loved and tea stained, with fault lines that tell of a long history of cups sipped with stories, tousled morning yawns, afternoons at grandmother's table. what did they drink? chamomile? earl grey? for now, darjeeling white tea, here, with me, just in time for risa's tea party.

i've brought tea biscuits, warmed in the oven, with butter and organic honey. they crumble and melt, no dipping needed (but you can if you like ;)

i'm in a mellow mood for a tea party today. i think it's because we finally have snow. i've never been so excited to hear about wind chill.

soon i'm off to the library - there are books that have finally come in, and i can't wait to see what's waiting for me.
