five senses

for shari's five senses friday:

sight ::  the unexpected visit of a little black cat stepping out from the shadows of a neighbour's front walk to say hi.

sound :: the happy lilt of songbirds still singing in the early quiet of the evening, reluctant to let go of the day.

taste :: the tart pucker of pomegranate juice.

smell :: the sweet smell of beeswax candles lingering on the hemp cloth they were wrapped in.

touch :: the smooth, cool slip and oddly scented mixture of mint and must of the white clay that i use to wash my face.
